Summary:
He needed to get out – and on his own, he would have simply stood there until the pressure became too much, and nothing but a mockery would be created of him. Chest aches with the mere thought, with the embarrassment he would have caused, not only for himself, but for the rest of the Council in his stead. What would they think of him?
